On the side of the Civil War Monument at the Hackensack Cemetery there is a grave plot where men who served during the Civil War and
Spanish-American War are buried. The only readable word on this headstone is Charles Miller. He could have served during either the Civil War or the
Spanish-American War, so until we find more information,
I have him listed under the Spanish-American War.

What we do know is that Charles Miller is buried on the plot along side the
Civil War Monument in the Hackensack Cemetery which was kept for men who served during either of these wars.

Let us never forget the serviceman’s sacrifice.
